Tis’ the season to be filled with merriment and partake in fun holiday festivities (some virtually). We’ve put together some of the top Raleigh Christmas events for friends and family to enjoy during a holiday visit.

Downtown Raleigh Tree Lighting

Virtually venture to downtown on November 20 from 5:45-6 pm to watch the annual Tree Lighting Celebration. This year’s annual lighting of the tree celebration will feature virtual performances for you to safely enjoy from the comfort of your room.

In years past, the Downtown Raleigh Tree Lighting has been so much more than just a tree lighting. This celebration has many different activities to offer like local food vendors, local beer and wine, free craft activities for families and live performances. Located at the Duke Energy Center, just a 9-minute drive from The StateView Hotel, the Tree Lighting Celebration is a great event for everyone.

Enjoy this festive parade while cozy inside or with breakfast in bed, and watch as a variety of spectacular floats, live music, and performances light up your screen in Christmas merriment. Watch until the end to get a glimpse of Santa himself as he makes his way to downtown Raleigh.

Cary Christmas Parade

The Cary Christmas Parade located in Downtown Cary, transforms this year into a virtual celebration! Tune-in on Saturday, December 12, from 2-4 pm as Cary Jaycees host their 40th annual parade in a safe and virtual setting.
