Indoor Shopping Malls
For the days when it’s too cold and rainy to be outdoors, it’s a quick 15-minute drive to the Crabtree Valley Mall from the StateView Hotel. It’s completely inside and has all of the basic stores you would want to find plus a few specialty shops.
On the lower level, you will find stores like Old Navy, LOFT, H&M, and Forever 21. On the upper level, stores like Merle Norman, The North Face, Banana Republic, and PacSun can be found. Macy’s and Belk are two floors. Crabtree Valley Mall has over 220 stores and restaurants.
New for this shopping season is Crabtree Curbside. A large selection of stores is now offering Pick-Up Curbside service. The shopper will place their order by phone or online (specified per the retailer). Once the order is ready, the shopper will be contacted and told which pickup area to park in. Upon arrival, the shopper will call the retailer with parking location details, and the order will be delivered to the shopper’s car. Safe and convenient.
Another shopping mall that is mostly indoors is Triangle Town Center. Just over 12 miles away, it’s a short ride with endless shopping possibilities. There are stores that we all know and love like Sears, Victoria’s Secret, Foot Locker, Dillard’s, and American Eagle. Outdoor Shopping Centers
On days when the weather is crisp, cool, and clear, shoppers will love a trip to Cameron Village, just 3.5 miles away from the StateView Hotel. Not only does Cameron Village have great specialty shops, but it has a history in Raleigh, NC. Cameron Village opened in 1949 with three stores, one restaurant, and a big future. At that time, it was the only shopping center between Washington D.C. and Atlanta.
Today, Cameron Village not only has shops and restaurants but also has apartments and business offices. Of course, there is a Fresh Market and Mattress Firm, because everyone needs food and something to sleep on. But then there are stores like CharleyMadelyn that just opened their physical doors in early December 2020.
At CharleyMadelyn, there is a cause behind the clothes. The shop owner and her husband struggled with fertility. They now donate 10% of their income to help other couples who are having the same struggles. And her clothes are just adorable!
