Raleigh St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival | March 12, 2022
The Raleigh St. Patrick’s Day Parade celebrates its 38th annual event this year. After a two-year hiatus, parade organizers, community participants and parade-goers are excited for the beloved Raleigh tradition to return. The parade will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. at the corner of N Wilmington St and E Lane St.
Art in Bloom | March 16-20, 2022
Raleigh’s annual Art in Bloom event is back with both in-person and virtual events on the schedule. The event allows floral designers to create stunning displays, which interpret works of art in the museum collection. Tickets for the event go on sale on February 2nd for the general public.
Playthrough Gaming Convention | March 19-20, 2022
The Raleigh Convention Center will host one of the largest video game conventions in the state this spring. After two years of postponed events, fans are excited for the return of the Playthrough Gaming Convention. Exhibits at the convention will include gaming demonstrations, new game showcases, competitions and more. Tickets start at $30.
Casks On Fools | April 3, 2022
The 7th annual Casks on Fools festival returns to kick off NC Beer Month. More than 20 North Carolina breweries will participate in this unique and unusual event that celebrates innovations in the craft beer industry. The event will take place at Crank Arm Brewing Company in downtown Raleigh.
Fairgrounds Southern Ideal Home Show | April 8-10, 2022
Get your tickets to the Raleigh Fairgrounds’ home and garden show of the year! Explore home improvement, decor and garden needs with more than 100 specialty vendors. Tickets are $9 online or $12 day of the show. Find exhibits in the Exposition Center and Jim Graham Building.
Special Admission Days for 2022 include Senior Day on Friday, April 8th (Seniors 60+ can purchase tickets for $7), Hero Day on Friday, April 8th (free admission for all active military, veterans and frontline workers including healthcare, fire and police) and Teacher Day on Sunday, April 10th (free admission for teachers with valid faculty ID).
North Carolina ‘Cuegrass Festival | April 16, 2022
Bluegrass and barbeque and brews – oh my! The Pit will host the 12th Annual North Carolina ‘Cuegrass Festival. The event will include award-winning barbeque, bluegrass music performed by local bands, a draft beer tent filled with local brews, a fun-filled kids zone hosted by Marbles Kids Museum and so much more. Admission to this year’s festival is free.
Brewgaloo | April 22-23, 2022
Brewgaloo is a two-day North Carolina craft beer festival hosting a variety of local vendors. Enjoy craft beer, food trucks, entertainment and live music as you peruse Fayetteville Street. The Friday Night Block Party from 6:00-10:00 p.m. features all-you-can-sample 3 oz pours. Tickets are $45 online in advance or $55 on the day of the event.
The Saturday Street Festival will run from 2:00-10:00 p.m. Admission is free, and drinks are available for purchase in 3 oz samples (2 tickets) or by the pint (5 tickets). Drink tickets will be sold in bundles of 15 or 25.
HerbFest | April 29 – May 1 and May 6-8, 200
Historic downtown Wake Forest will host the annual HerbFest for two weekends this Spring. This is the longest-running organic herb festival in the US. You’ll find the event on S White St. next to The Cotton Company, approximately 40 minutes north of the StateView Hotel.
This fundraising event, which benefits the Graham Johnson Cultural Arts Endowment, will have certified organically grown produce, organic stock, vegetable plants and perennial herbs for purchase, plus live entertainment, artists and more. Admission is free. Event hours each weekend will be Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
NC Wine, Cheese And Chocolate Festival | April 30, 2022
The Lafayette Village shopping center will host the annual NC Wine, Cheese and Chocolate Festival this spring. Previously scheduled for October 2021, this in-person event will include live music and vendors in the courtyard of the shopping center. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample wines, cheeses and chocolates from locally-owned shops and eateries. In addition to tickets for the event, you may purchase a Party Box online, a to-go box for those who aren’t able to attend the event. Tickets are $39.99 per person.
Longleaf Film Festival | May 13-14, 2022
The North Carolina Museum of History is proud to announce the return of the 8th annual Longleaf Film Festival as an in-person event for 2022. After two years of virtual festivals, this year’s event will feature both short- and feature-length independent films created by filmmakers from The Triangle and beyond. The festival is free to attend.
Artsplosure – The Raleigh Art Festival | May 21-22, 2022
Artists from all over Raleigh and North Carolina come together to bring you this exciting art market. During this two-day festival in downtown Raleigh, you can purchase and discover works of art from more than 175 artists and craftspeople in 10 different mediums. Plus, you can indulge in live music, art installations and food trucks! Your kids will love the free arts and crafts at Kidsplosure. This event is free to attend.
Animazement | May 27-29, 200
This larger-than-life Japanese Anime event comes to the Raleigh Convention Center this May. Animazement attendees can expect live music, art displays, guest speakers, panels, merchandise and more! Full weekend tickets start at $70 for adults and $55 for kids ages 12 and under. (If you purchased tickets for the canceled 2020 or 2021 events, they have automatically been rolled over to 2022 dates.)
LIVE @ Lake Raleigh | May 5 & 19, 2022
This FREE sunset concert series features live music and food trucks beside beautiful Lake Raleigh. Pack a blanket or lawn chair and relax lakeside with your loved ones. Located within walking distance of our boutique Raleigh hotel, StateView is the perfect place to tuck in post-show. Race 13.1 – Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K | 2022 Dates TBD
Calling all runners! Visit downtown Raleigh and participate in Race 13.1, which includes a half-marathon, 10K and 5K. The races will begin in midtown and wind through the Crabtree Creek Greenway. Be sure to check the event website for 2022 dates and updates.
Raleigh International Food Festival | 2022 Dates TBD
Flavors from around the world meet in North Carolina for the Raleigh International Food Festival. Attend this free event and enjoy food, culture, live music and dancing all day long! Check the event’s Facebook page for the most up-to-date information.
The Man Expo | June 3-5, 2022
Everything a man could want and more can be found at The Man Expo this June. From one-of-a-kind bars made from vintage truck parts to gaming, fishing, and hunting – the vendors here will deliver no matter what your guy is into. This Raleigh event will take place at the NC State Fairgrounds in the Jim Graham Building. Tickets start at $10.
Capital City Juneteenth Celebration | June 2022 Date TBD
After the inaugural event in 2021, the City of Oaks anticipates the return of this multi-day celebration for 2022. Last year’s festivities included guest speakers and performers, art demonstrations, panel discussions, educational films and more. Join the Raleigh community in honoring the history and heritage of formerly enslaved African Americans and celebrating the changes that are on the horizon.
State Capitol Independence Day Festival | July 4, 2022

BrickUniverse and LEGO Fan Convention | July 9-10, 2022
Calling all LEGO ultra-fans! Raleigh Convention Center will host the BrickUniverse and LEGO Fan Convention this summer. Have an experience like no other as you explore massive LEGO sculptures, LEGO play areas, artists, entertainment and color-coded building zones! Plus, you’re sure to enjoy the new attractions and displays scheduled for the 2022 event.
Tickets are available in 2.5 hours blocks from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. each day. Early booking is advised. Purchase tickets for your desired time slot online. Tickets start at $14.99.
GalaxyCon | July 28-31, 2022
Nerd Alert! GalaxyCon is in Raleigh for a four-day festival filled with everything SciFi. Fans can participate in cosplay, celebrity interviews, entertainers, merchant vendors, photo ops and more! Ticket prices vary.
Carolina Fall Boat Show | August 19-21, 2022
The Carolina Fall Boat Show & Sale is the longest-running new product showcase and boat show in NC. This year’s event will host a variety of marine dealers representing more than 65 boating manufacturers. The boat show will be held at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds.
Boat Show hours are Friday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and military, and free for kids under 12. Paid admission is valid for all three days of the event.

Raleigh Veg Fest | November 6, 2022
Veg Fest is coming to Raleigh this November. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about important topics like the plant-based lifestyle, the benefits of eco-friendly living, health and nutrition, the environment and so much more. Speakers will include expert doctors, researchers and activists. There will be live music during the event, as well as food vendors serving up scrumptious bites. The event is free to attend.
